A Sail bike from rubbish and the largest salt lake in the world - Ratbag Nomads
I arrived at the salt lake in Bolivia in Uyni, I was bummed about having lost my tent, tired from a 2000km ride over the last 2 months, I came up with the idea of making a sail to cross the 100km wide lake. I collected old bits of rope off the side of the rode and found the mast and boom in a rubbish pile, just 2 big sticks. I pulled apart my hammock and made a spinika type sail and on the first day and crossed the lake at speeds of over 15 knots

Dingos surrounded the Camp

Hiking and camping on the trail to Cedar bay in tropical far north Queensland. Whilst making coffee, the camp was surrounded by Dingoes. They got closer as the morning passed but always stayed out of view. Dingoes are amazing wild animals and these creatures should be respected especially when your hiking and camping in their natural environment. #Dingoes #hiking #Australia

Traveling through the Bolivian high plateau. My spirits were low after my tent fell off the back of my bike and a cheeky car stopped, picked it up and took off leaving me tentless. I wanted to turn things around so I came up with a plan to make a sail bike out of my hammock and rubbish from the side of the road. Sail biking on the world's largest salt lake whilst on a world tour lifted me beyon...

Tall Bike - Test Ride

Set serious aside and do something that really doesn't make sense to anybody, except yourself. Its a feeling, a hunger and a desire to stand tall and cycle around formalities. Here we are, inspired by red bull and the series called tal...

This footage is of my mate Catz trying a technique to attract emus told to us by an aboriginal man we had a chat to in the area. We were working on a crew doing seismic surveys exploring for oil & gas deposits in remote desert areas of Australia. I think this was in the Innamincka area of north east of South Australia.
